Meet the Attorney

Elissa H. Green, Esquire

Elissa Green is a native of Huntsville, Alabama. After graduating from Huntsville High School, Elissa attended the University of Alabama, graduating after 3.5 years to pursue a law degree. Elissa attended law school at Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, and graduated in 1988.

After graduating from law school, Elissa was hired as a law-clerk for a circuit court judge in the 23rd Judicial Circuit. After a one year clerkship, Elissa opened her own practice specializing in family law, criminal law and probate law.

In her 30+ years of practice, Elissa has tried numerous cases in all the different court levels in Madison County, Alabama. She has also represented clients in Morgan, Limestone and Jackson Counties.

Elissa is a past president of the Young Lawyer's Section of the Madison County Bar Association and a past president of the Madison County Criminal Lawyers Section. She donates several hours each year to the Madison County Volunteer Lawyers Program, for which she has received several certificates of recognition. Elissa is a certified mediator, having completed mediation training in 2010. Additionally, she has acted as a substitute judge in the municipal court of the City of Huntsville for the past seventeen years.

Elissa believes communication is key in representing her clients. She and her staff work very hard to keep the client informed as to what is happening in their case. They understand the case is the most important thing happening in the client's life.
